About

HI, I'M SAGAR.
CALL ME SG.

Automobile engineer. Media strategist and broadcast veteran. EV owner. I started EV Ki Report to make electric vehicles simple to understand for Indian buyers who want clarity, not confusion. No technical jargon. No market hype. Just real-life auto gyaan.

Why my background shapes the work.

The three lenses

01

The Automobile Engineer

B.E. in Automobile Engineering, trained in Pro/E, the same design software Indian car manufacturers use to build the cars you drive. My early career put me close to India's major car makers, and many colleagues from that time now lead engineering and design at brands you would recognise. This is the technical foundation behind every EV explainer, translated into the simplest possible language.

02

The Broadcaster

I know how content gets shaped to sell. That is exactly why EV Ki Report doesn't sound like other EV content. Over a decade leading editorial and content operations at a satellite TV network, building content for tens of millions of viewers, taught me the one rule that matters most: audience trust is the only asset that compounds. Once you lose it, no amount of reach brings it back.

03

The AI-Driven Strategist

Executive Education from IIM Bangalore, certified in Google AI and Digital Marketing. I understand how Indian buyers search, decide and choose, and that understanding goes into every reel, meeting viewers exactly where they are: scrolling at 8 PM, looking for clear answers.

I'm an automobile engineer by training and a media leader by profession, with over a decade leading editorial and content operations at a leading Indian regional satellite network, most recently as CEO.

In 2024, I bought my first electric vehicle. The engineering side I understood. Battery chemistry, charging curves, range maths, none of that was new to me. What surprised me was something else.

The people around me, friends, family, colleagues, neighbours thinking about their first EV, kept asking me the same practical questions. And every time I went looking for clear, simple answers I could share with them, in their language, for their use case, I came up short. Not in showroom conversations. Not in YouTube reviews. Not in glossy auto magazines.

The information existed. It was just locked inside technical jargon or hidden under marketing fluff. Nobody was translating it for the everyday Indian buyer.

That was the gap.

So on 1 January 2026, I posted the first reel, with one promise: explain electric vehicles the way a friend would explain them to you. Simple. Practical. Honest.

People do not just need EV news. They need EV understanding.

That belief shapes every reel, every carousel, every story I publish. EV Ki Report is built around the questions real buyers actually ask:

  • Should I buy an EV or stay with petrol?
  • Will I actually save money?
  • Can I charge at home? In an apartment?
  • What is the real story on battery life?
  • Is it practical for my daily commute?
  • What mistakes do people make before buying?

Every piece of content answers a question like this, in simple Hinglish, with real numbers from real ownership.

The EV ownership ecosystem from home charging to highways, batteries and family use

EV Ki Report has my complete attention. After more than a decade leading editorial and content operations at a major Indian regional satellite broadcaster as CEO, I made the decision to focus entirely on this.

I built and led teams that made content for tens of millions of viewers across India. That experience taught me three things: how Indian audiences actually think, what makes them trust a source or stop, and how quickly the wrong incentive structure destroys what took years to build.

That is the unfair advantage I bring here. Most EV creators are car enthusiasts who learned content. I'm a media leader who happens to be an automobile engineer. Different lens. Different output.

I treat EV Ki Report the way I would want any journalist on my own teams to treat their beat: with discipline, with disclosure, and with the understanding that audience trust is everything.

Alongside this, I work with professionals, industry experts and brand leaders across the digital ecosystem, as a strategist and advisor on content, AI integration and audience-building in modern media. The two practices feed each other. The clarity I'm trying to bring to EV Ki Report is the same clarity I help others bring to their work.

But this, EV Ki Report, isn't a side project. This is the work.
