Home charging is the starting point
Before buying, confirm the parking bay, electrical connection, cable route and who will install the charger. In an apartment, make a written plan that explains safety, billing and responsibility for maintenance.
Use a qualified installer and follow the vehicle and charger manuals. Avoid improvised extensions or loose cabling in shared areas.
Public charging needs a backup
A map pin does not guarantee that a charger will be available or working when you arrive. Check the operator app, connector compatibility, recent user reports and an alternative nearby before depending on one location.
Public charging is most useful when it supports your routine. It should not be the only part of your ownership plan unless you have tested that routine properly.
Highway charging starts before the trip
- Plan stops around reliable chargers, not only the maximum possible range.
- Check the route, operating hours and backup locations before departure.
- Allow for speed, weather, traffic, terrain and load to change consumption.
- Keep enough buffer to reach another charger if the first option is unavailable.
