Do the PDI before accepting delivery

• Match the vehicle identity and documents to your booking.
• Inspect the body, glass, tyres, lights, cabin and supplied accessories.
• Check the charging port, cable and basic charging operation where possible.
• Record concerns in writing before registration or delivery acceptance.

Compare insurance wording, not only the premium

Review the base policy, declared value, deductibles, add-ons, exclusions and claim conditions. EV-specific battery or charger cover can vary, so check what is included and what evidence a claim requires.

Save the policy wording you actually purchased. A product name or verbal explanation is not a substitute for the written document.

Negotiate the complete deal

Compare the full on-road quotation, not one discounted line. Ask for the vehicle price, insurance, accessories, charging installation, service package and every promised benefit to be shown separately.

Get the final offer, delivery commitment and included items in writing. Clarity before payment is more useful than resolving a misunderstanding after delivery.
